What is the governance structure of CER?

The CER Board consists of 3 to 5 members who are appointed for a period of 4 years. Board members can be reappointed for one additional term. They receive no remuneration for the work they do for the foundation. In incidental cases, board members do receive compensation for the costs incurred on behalf of the foundation. The board meets at least four times a year and is updated and consulted regularly on pressing issues. The board is responsible for governing the organisation and approves the annual plan, the long-term plan, the annual budget, and the annual statement of accounts as well as major collaborations. The board also approves project allocations exceeding € 35,000.
