Stabilization of the Tekke of Dolma Building

Though this project, Cultural Heritage Without Borders Albania in collaboration with the National Institute for Cultural Heritage, protected and stabilized the Tekke of Dolma. The construction of the Tekke (a sacred building for the Bektashi order) dates back to the 18th century. The building was heavily damaged during the earthquakes which hit the area of Tirana and Durres between September and November 2019. This project focused on the first two urgent phases, including the immediate emergency stabilization of the structure, an in-depth survey to pave the ground for a complete consolidation and restoration of the Tekke and of its mural paintings. Later phases of the project focused on a more structural rehabilitation.
