Regional Hub for First Aid to Culture

CER supported the Biladi NGO to establish itself as a CER Regional Hub in the Middle East, Levant Region. The program will work to prepare local experts to act in times of emergencies within their institutions and/or as a collaborative support network for each other. This will be done through training, capacity building, data storage enhancement, and awareness raising initiatives. This Regional Hub will also develop channels and protocols for coordination between authorities, civil emergency actors, and cultural heritage institutions – thereby, promoting the integration of cultural heritage in disaster response mechanisms at local, national and regional level. With these activities, the CER Regional Hub aims to become a stable go-to centre and advocate for cultural emergency response in the region.
