This project focussed on setting up a conservation lab at the University of Namibia (UNAM). By equipping graduates in the carrying out of basic repair work of archival collections, the lab aims to fill existing gap in the availability of opportunities for basic hands-on conservation training. The lab also aims to train conservators in carrying out more expansive and delicate conservation interventions for the national institutions, such as restorative techniques to eradicate fumigations due to mould.
